Name: Heidi Zenefski
 

Introduction: I have been a teacher at PAVCS since the 2004-05 school year.  I have enjoyed watching this school change and grow over the years and feel a sense of pride at being a part of it.

BirthplacHeidi Zenefskie: San Francisco, but I grew up in Texas.

Hometown: Montrose, Pennsylvania

 

Position at PAVCS: Middle School English Teacher

 

Experience prior to coming to PAVCS: 5 years at the Montrose Area School District

 

Education: Associates-- Ricks College (Now BYU-Idaho), Rexburg, Idaho;  Bachelors in Elementary Education-- East Stroudsburg Univ, East Stroudsburg, PA;  Masters in Education -- Wilkes Univ, Wilkes-Barre, PA

 

Family: Husband- John (also a PAVCS teacher) Children:  Andrew, Mariah, Zak, Megan, Jared and Jason; 2 cats Nikki and Sarah and dog, Roxy

8 hours a day at my dream job (besides PAVCS) would be: Sports reporter for ESPN or writer for People Magazine

 

7 days on a dream vacation would be spent: Mediterranean Cruise - Greece, specifically

 

6 seconds after I launch my Internet browser I'm on: Reading the headlines on Yahoo! News then Facebook to check on my friends.

 

5 minutes is all the time I have for (pet peeve): People that say they will do something and they don't, excuses and snobs

 

4 stars is my rating for (TV/Movie/Book): TV show- The Amazing Race,  Movie-- Gone with the Wind, Book--To Kill a Mockingbird

 

things always on my desk: pictures of my family, Dallas Cowboys stacking dolls (the Russian kind actually purchased in Russia for me by myparents), office supplies (pens, stapler, phone, etc.)


 

2 people (living or dead) I wish I could meet: William Shakespeare and Mark Twain


 

1 thing that might surprise most people about me: I can touch my nose with my tongue.
